Gluten-Free Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day is released (scroll down for reviews)

GF Book and Cloche 01

After a long year of testing, writing, and thinking about gluten-free bread, Gluten-Free Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day was released on, October 21, 2014, available in independent bookstores, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and all the online sellers, all over the U.S. (and actually, the world).

Cloches (French for “bell”) are stoneware enclosures that preheat beautifully and create a great result in home ovens, and they’re great for gluten-free bread just as much as my wheat loaves (they can of course be used with either). Much more information about using cloches is here on the website (posted about this last year, and also in 2009).

  13. Your bread books are the best culinary purchase I have ever made. I have been baking loafs of bread in the oven, and on my bbq. This summer while making a loaf for myself, I always made an extra, and gave it to a different neighbor. Everyone was so grateful, and said the loafs are so luxurious and comforting. Soon the neighborhood kids were asking me for a bread making lesson. They loved learning and were excited about taking their accomplisment home to share with their families. Sharing the bread, teaching others, and encouraging my neighbors to get your books for their own library truly brought a sense of strong community to our urban street. Bread mended some fractured relationships between some children and adults on my street, and for that, I will always be truly grateful!
